Something about eating in the back of the house made me think of something I’m equally guilty of. The photo here is of a woman casually eating in a dark corner by the roadside. It’s a hidden room, not far from people but hidden from plain sight. In fact, I wouldn’t have seen her unless I had peeked into the dark room.

This image reminds me of something I’m guilty of. And in fact, it’s something I see some of my closest friends do too. While we live in a society that prides itself on healthy eating, we feel pressured to show and demonstrate our healthy lifestyle. But behind the shadows, we let loose and sometimes (more often) binge ourselves to guilt.
This habit is unhealthy and I think it’s a mental illness. If you’re experiencing this, I suggest getting professional help. The long-term effects of these are dangerous and detrimental to our health. This is also a stark reminder for me to seek help too.
