My bike is ready…

As you guys would have known, my bike has not been rideable since June due to the recall . It has been a boring 2 months as I was not able to do my weekend rides. Weekend rides are the times when I recollect back on the week, and restrategize for the next week.

Earlier this week, I received an SMS from Moorthy, the service manager from Auto Bavaria notifying that my bike is ready 🙂

Honestly – this is the news that I’ve been waiting for. Despite having a courtesy bike which is a scooter, it does not fit my riding style. I prefer long comfortable rides. The next couple of weeks will be familiarizing back with the bike. This is like learning how to ride again.

Today, I finally managed to sort out what I am going to do with my compensation package as well as the accessories voucher from BMW. The total amount of money I am getting from BMW are as follows:

  •  Compensation – RM3,000
  • Accessories voucher for purchase – RM1,500
  • Warranty Compensation – Euro 500

With all the vouchers above, I am planning to acquire the following items:

  • Spotlight – ~3k
  • Cylinder guard – ~1k
  • Airflow gloves – ~500
  • Airflow boots = ~1k
  • Pannier inner bags – RM1.3k

I would have spent so much money on that, but now it’s technically free 🙂

I wish I can purchase the top case (RM6k) and akrapovic exhaust (another 6k) – but don’t need la. Maybe sometime in the future…
