After buying 3.7kg of beef yesterday at Lee’s Frozen food, I decided to start consuming it. Honestly, I was a bit sceptical with frozen beef – though the parts which I bought, rib eye typically is delicious. When it comes to frozen stuffs, some of the taste might get lost – it we’ll probably ended up with a brick of protein which is tasteless.
Well – sometimes, one has to trade off between taste and cost. To buy a chilled grain fed rib eye going to cost me a hell a lot of money. With 8 weeks challenge going on, and I don’t have that much choice when it comes to protein – a cost effective meat (even if it’s frozen) could be a good option 🙂
So anyway – just now I made a supposedly medium grilled rib eye steak 🙂 Each piece is 300g roughly.

It was slightly over cooked as I was not very sure with how much heat should i use to grill. This was cooked at a friend’s place (excuses!!!). Anyway, the meat was slightly dry (likely because I overcooked the steak). But heck – there’s another 9 pieces of 300g rib eye that I can experiment with 🙂
Hopefully my next try (two days from now) – the beef will taste better. I can’t be eating beef too much, it’s bad for the bodeeeeeh…
