Minding my own business 3

The photo was shot during one of my photo walks in KL, I think was a Sunday. Don’t really have sufficient details as this was shot using a film camera – Leica M6 paired with a 50mm. The exact location behind Medan Pasar, next to the Klang River (not far from the intersection between Gombak and Klang River).

Urban development generally will result in a certain segment of society to be abandoned. This is evident with the population of homeless. In some of my conversations with them, typically they were abandoned by family – some due to disputes, some due to them running away from society. Without a roof to live in, they resorted to sleeping in different parts of the city.

Homeless is not just exist in Malaysia – but I have seen this in many cities around the world including some of the more developed ones such as New York. No matter what authority does, this is a side product of urban development.
