New show on netflix – Spoiler alert too!
There’s a new show that has been released by Netflix called The Travellers. The link to this show on IMDB is as A here
The show is about 5 travellers that goes came from the future. A future that is at risk of being destroyed due to events that had happened in the past. The term traveller is coined from the fact that the person travelled from the future to the present. What they did was to take over a host that almost died. The concious mind of the future takes over.
I have watched only about 3 episodes and counting. The first episode focused on how the travellers took over the body of the host. When I first started – I felt quite confused until towards 3/4 of the show. Partly because I didn’t really focused on the show (was watching this while replying email!). In anyway – I managed to rewind back again to the start of the show and rewatched the entire episode 1! ??
The rest of the episode is about the mission that they had to undertake as part of the greater good which is to save the future ✌️.
What was interesting is that the way the mission was communicated by the so called Director to the team. The Director takes over the mind of a particular person – where in this case for the first few episode is a child for a brief moment in which the child will explain the mission to the team. Quite interesting yet spooky and scary.
There’s about 12 episodes and I must say it’s quite well made. Let’s see if its get boring and hopefully I will continue to watch it till the end – LOL ?.
The five travellers are as follows:
- Agent Maclaren – FBI agent – leader of the crew.
- Marcy Warton – a doctor from the future who took over a person that couldn’t speak properly.
- Carly Shannon – a housewife that’s married to an abusive cop. She is in relationship with Agent Maclaren.
- Traver Holden – a troubled youth, who was supposed to be killed during a fight.
- Phillip Pearson – a drug addict, supposed to be died together with the best friend/roommate.
In summary – it’s quite a refreshing to see a new show. Will continue to watch this till this end (since I am on leave anyway!). Note – I have yet to finished House of Cards and Narcos!
