Chinese New Year – Car Wash?

Chinese New Year this year – there’s a really long weekend. 4 days in total. It has been a good relief as I was working like a dog for couple of weeks – clocking midnight almost every night, including Saturdays. It just crazy.

When Chinese New Year came, I was not sure what I am gonna do. I worked hard the day before holiday, ensuring that I finished all my task before getting down to holiday mood. Despite having influences to relax that day, I was able to finished all my task and get my job done.

On Thursday, first day Chinese New Year, I had an inspiration to clean my car. The car itself hasn’t gotten a good wash for at least 1 year. In fact, based on my records, the last time the car had a wash was 78 weeks ago. Unbelievable! Considering the rims itself has changed to “matte” brown, it’s definitely possible 🙂

The whole process took me almost 6 hours. I did 4 main things:

  • Wash the bugger (including the wheels)
  • Clay…
  • Polish
  • Wax

The four steps process is super tiring. In fact, my hands are still tired, and felt like it needed a good cream to moisturise it. I am putting myself a challenge to be able to keep the car clean for the next 1 year, at least until the next Chinese New Year.

I must say, I was very very impressed with the products from Meguairs. Despite the fact that the price is super steep, the quality is just unbelievable. Next weekend, I need to make sure I wash my car, to keep the shine. In fact, mine give it another coat of wax 🙂
