Masjid India

Elderly man resting with walking stick in city

One of the things that I enjoy in photography is the ability to go out there and meet people. Whether with friends that share the same passion or with the people that I meet, the result is the same.
In this particular photo – seen is an old man who is taking a rest on the bench. While he was seated, I approached him and had a decent conversation about the things that go on around the surrounding area.
The photo was taken around Masjid India, not far from my office. Perhaps it’s a calling for me to further explore the area surrounding the office.
One of the nagging thoughts in my mind is that I don’t want my colleague to know my passion for streets. I guess it is something that I need to overcome. In fact, if I do start taking photos after work or so – it’ll be quite certain that I will take tonnes of photos.
In fact, the same morning that I shot this photo, I also took the courage to go to Malayan Mansion, and of course this is with two other friends – Johan and Francis. Surprisingly – unlike Blue Boy Mansion, the residents of this place are far more friendly. Perhaps they are long-term residents, and not foreigners.
In another post, I shall share some of the photos from Malayan Mansion.
