Last November, I had a quick stopover in Kawagoe, Japan. It’s such a charming little town, perfect for a day trip. I think it was a great idea to make Kawagoe a ‘transit’ town on my way to another destination.
The shop houses certainly date back to a much older period, possibly the Edo era. The intricate details of the woodwork are certainly something one can appreciate.
I definitely love the vibe here, pretty, quaint and quiet.
And of course the food. The unagi here – certainly top notch!
