Slaughter

The thing about the market – you find all kinds of interesting subjects. Some are exciting, some are boring. In fact, for me – though the market is a wealth of subjects to shoot – after a while, it does get boring. This is because I have been shooting the market for many years. And hardly am I able to get the photo that tells a story. This is no different.

Whilst I was walking along the back alley of Pasar Chow Kit, I stumbled upon this hole in the wall where they sell fresh chicken. Fresh as in freshly slaughtered. Unlike the typical supermarket chicken, you can’t get anything fresher than this. The question remains is how hygienic is the preparation. I sure hope that the chicken gets cleaned properly before cooking!
