is a myth?

Web definition of Work-Life Balance:
Work–life balance is having enough time for work and enough to have a life, thus the work life balance. Related, though broader, terms include “lifestyle balance” and “life balance”

Perhaps I should write-in to MythBusters on this topic!

They probably be struggling trying to find the work-life balance, given the fact that working in the entertainment industry is somewhat time-consuming as services industry.

My view of work-life balance – it’s not a 50-50 type balance, where everything will need to be equal. The amount of time would definitely be very much different. The ratio of work-life will change as one becomes more mature and naturally older. When priorities changes, it will also impact the ratio. In fact – for individuals like me, work-life balance really depends on days and events that happen during work. Sometimes – I have my weekends, sometimes – I wish even had time to sleep.

I used to have this rule – back when I was a consultant. Sundays is a personal time for me. I’ll do what ever I want to do – and promise myself not to touch my laptop. Moving forward by 10 years – it seems that my rule has somewhat smoked! I now transform into a workaholic – much worst than when I was much younger. I guess this happens because the responsibility and motivation is somewhat far greater than what ever I had 10 years ago! There are so many things to achieve!

Regardless whether I am motivated or not – I serious need to start to find an acceptable work-life balance rule for myself. I am deciding whether it should be Sunday or Saturday to be “My Day”. Where I won’t be opening my laptop to do work.. Hmm.. Is this possible?

Well – I need to think hard, perhaps its something I can decide and implement next year – in line with new sets of New Years Resolution 🙂 I made it work before – definitely I can make it work again! Boo hooo
